Job summary

INVISTA is seeking Instrument & Electrical Technicians with instrumentation, electrical, or analyzer experience to expand capabilities across disciplines at our Victoria, Texas facility.

You will join the I&E team that partners with Operations to prioritize high-value work and support safe, reliable operations. Candidates should have 4+ years in I&E fields or an equivalent credential and be prepared for a demanding, hands-on role in a petrochemical-like environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years Instrumentation, I&E, Electrical or Analyzer experience in a manufacturing, industrial or agriculture facility.
• Associate degree or higher in I&E with minimum 2 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing, industrial or agriculture facility.
• Current Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent with minimum 3 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing, industrial or agriculture facility.
• NCCER certification or equivalent in Electronics/Industrial Maintenance with minimum 3 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing, industrial or agriculture facility.
• Ability to read and use electrical prints, loop sheets, and P&IDs

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and electrical equipment that supports safe and reliable facility operations.
• Work with field instrumentation and analyzer equipment including transmitters, control valves, I/P converters, positioners, actuators, flow meters, instrument tubing, conductivity analyzers, RTDs, and thermocouples.
• Support low-voltage electrical equipment, primarily 480-volt systems up to 4,160 volts, including motors, starters, circuit breakers, transformers, disconnect switches, relays, fuses, AC drives, and cabling.
• Perform preventive maintenance and use condition-based monitoring practices to identify equipment needs before failures occur.
• Learn and use Honeywell Field Device Manager (FDM) to assess field-device performance and identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including labor hours, work performed, and critical preventive-maintenance findings.
• Support the continuous improvement and implementation of Team-Based Maintenance strategies and understand how your work contributes to INVISTA's operational performance and market competitiveness.

The INVISTA I&E team works closely with our Operations partners to prioritize the highest-value work and strengthen our Team-Based Maintenance (TBM) approach. Our technicians bring varied instrumentation and electrical experience, collaborate with mutual respect, and share practical and technical knowledge. What You Will Do

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and electrical equipment that supports safe and reliable facility operations.

• Support the continuous improvement and implementation of Team-Based Maintenance strategies and understand how your work contributes to INVISTA's operational performance and market competitiveness.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• At least one of the following requirements:
• 4+ years of Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Electrical, Electrical or Analyzer experience in a manufacturing, industrial or agriculture facility.
• Associate's degree or Higher in a related I&E field with a minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing, industrial or agriculture facility.
• Current Journeyman Electrician license, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing, industrial or agriculture facility.
• NCCER certification or equivalent in one of the following areas, with a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing, industrial or agriculture facility:
• Electronic System Technician
• Industrial Maintenance Electrical & Instrumentation
• Instrumentation
• Ability to read and use electrical prints, loop sheets, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)

Physical Requirements

• Must be available to work regular 4/10 schedule (Planned) or unscheduled hours (unplanned/short-notice hours on nights and/or weekends, holidays as needed), to meet business needs.
• Required to wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, acid suits, breathing air, gloves, safety boots, respirators, ACR Flash suits, and encapsulated suits. PPE use is in accordance with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for a given task.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and inclement climate conditions.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces with supplied breathing air and congested areas.
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, ladders on vessels and columns, ladders associated with scaffolds in excess of 80 feet.
