Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting is seeking a Reliability Instrumentation Engineer to support and optimize I&E systems across plant operations in Texas. The role focuses on reliability, safety, and performance through strategy development, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will lead reliability programs, develop ITPM plans, utilize CMMS and failure analysis to drive data-informed decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• PE license preferred.
• 3–5 years in I&E maintenance or engineering.
• Experience in chemical, petrochemical, or refining industries preferred.
• Knowledge of instrument management systems and CMMS.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability programs for instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Develop inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance plans.
• Utilize CMMS, failure analysis, and cost analysis tools to drive data-informed decisions.
• Evaluate equipment performance and prepare lifecycle cost analyses.
• Maintain records for specifications, calibration, validations, and maintenance history.
• Support compliance with SIS and IEC 61511 safety standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
