Job summary

Jacobs in El Segundo, CA, seeks an Instrumentation and Controls Technician to design, implement, and maintain control systems for water treatment equipment. You will program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, document work, and perform calibrations with strict attention to safety and quality.

The role requires 2–5 years in a similar facility, strong problem-solving, and the ability to lead shift activity while using MS Office and HachWIMS for data and reporting. CA driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of operation and maintenance experience in water/wastewater facilities.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient with plant instrumentation and control systems including DCS/PLC/SCADA.
• Experience calibrating instrumentation and maintaining records.
• Ability to lead and prioritize shift work and respond to emergencies.
• Valid CA driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plant instrumentation and controls to ensure uptime.
• Interface with customers on I&C designs and submitted documents.
• Maintain plant field instrumentation, controls and electrical equipment.
• Develop and implement an accurate calibration program for plant instrumentation.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks with precision.
• Review spare parts inventory and recommend improvements as directed.
