Job summary

Luminant Power LLC is seeking a Plant Operations technician to service instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment at the Hays Plant in Texas. You will inspect, calibrate, and troubleshoot DCS/PLC/HMI and related sensors to ensure safe and reliable operation.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, support outages, and work with operations and engineering to minimize downtime while adhering to safety standards and plant procedures.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED equivalent required.
• 1 year as I&C or 2 years related work experience required.
• Experience via college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable.
• Must possess basic math skills, good verbal communications and be proficient with power/tools.
• Must know Safety and Environment rules as they relate to electrical maintenance.
• Must provide positive influence to maintenance, operations, and management teams.
• Working knowledge of CMMS; Maximo familiarity preferred.
• Additional experience with machinery repair and control systems preferred.
• Experience working on transmitters, valve actuators/positioners, control systems a plus.
• POSS / MASS exams eligibility is required for candidacy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, calibrate, test, and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
• Inspect and service electrical motors, MCCs, VFDs, panels, breakers, and switchgear.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work orders.
• Coordinate with operations and engineering to minimize downtime.
