Job summary

SpaceXSI is hiring an Instrumentation & Controls Technician to maintain and repair controls and field instruments at our on-site power generation plant serving Memphis/Southaven AI facilities. You will calibrate and troubleshoot gas turbine and generator systems, balance-of-plant instruments, and HVAC and process machinery.

The role requires proficiency with various manufacturer controls, PLCs, DCS, and CMMS, with flexibility for nights, weekends, holidays, and callouts to ensure 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on instrumentation and controls maintenance in a power plant or high-reliability facility.
• Experience with gas turbine or generator controls from multiple manufacturers.
• Experience with PLCs, turbine controls, and plant DCS or equivalent systems.
• Experience reading P&IDs, loop sheets, and control diagrams.
• Experience with LOTO and NFPA 70E arc-flash practices.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair field instruments and final elements.
• Troubleshoot turbine, generator, and balance-of-plant control systems.
• Identify and fix trips, alarms, and faulty readings with the shift team.
• Perform loop checks during startup, shutdown, or outages.
• Read P&IDs, loop sheets, diagrams, and control logic.
• Complete calibrations and document results in CMMS.
• Use AI tools to speed calibration records and handoffs.
• Follow safety procedures and stop work when unsafe.
