Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician based at Starbase, TX, to install, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and SCADA for power, HVAC, utility, and fluids systems supporting launch, production, and power-generation projects.

You will install sensors, wiring, and control systems from field devices to PLC/SCADA, read schematics, calibrate sensors, and ensure compliance with NFPA/NEC and related standards. Travel to other SpaceX facilities may be required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equiv required.
1+ years installing, troubleshooting, maintaining instrumentation, automation, or controls systems.
1+ years using mechanical/electronics hand tools including schematics on piping, valves, sensors, or control wiring.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, operate, and maintain instrumentation, automation, control, and SCADA systems.
Fabricate and install fluid-system components from drawings (piping, valves, regulators, sensors).
Connect, verify, calibrate, and troubleshoot sensors and wiring; complete equipment wiring.
Configure and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA in high-reliability environments.
Update electrical schematics and BOMs; document as-built.
Train junior technicians and support SOWs and contractor work.
