Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an Operation & Maintenance Engineer to keep a multi-manufacturer gas turbine-powered plant in Memphis/Southaven runs 24/7. You’ll manage across turbines, generators, and plant systems, troubleshooting issues and directing contractors.

AI tools will assist daily engineering and maintenance tasks, with focus on reliability and safety. You will work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, and contribute to plant start-up, turnarounds, and outage planning while complying

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of operation or maintenance engineering experience in a power plant or similar facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide operation and maintenance support for a multi-manufacturer gas turbine fleet and plant electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot trips, alarms, and equipment failures with the shift team and return the plant to service.
• Direct contractors: define the work, schedule, and confirm safe completion.
• Apply AI to streamline engineering, maintenance, and operating tasks.
• Maintain reliability through root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Write and maintain operating, maintenance, and switching procedures.
