Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician for our on-site power generation facility serving the Memphis/Southaven region. You will calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair field instruments and control systems across multiple manufacturers to keep 24/7 operations online.

Responsibilities include loop checks, reading P&IDs and schematics, and using AI tools to streamline calibration records and shift handoffs. On-site work with flexible shifts and safety compliance is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
3+ years hands-on instrumentation and controls maintenance in power/industrial facility.
Experience with gas turbine or generator controls from multiple manufacturers.
Experience with PLCs, turbine control systems, and plant DCS or equivalent.
Ability to read P&IDs, loop sheets, electrical schematics, and control logic.

Responsibilities

Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair field instruments and final elements (transmitters, switches, analyzers, thermocouples, RTDs, valves, actuators).
Troubleshoot turbine, generator, and balance-of-plant control systems across manufacturers (PLCs, turbine controls, plant control system).
Identify and fix trips, alarms, and bad readings; return equipment to service.
Run loop checks and functional checks during start-up, shutdown, commissioning, outages.
Document calibrations and repairs per procedure; close out work orders in CMMS.
