Job summary

Oklo Inc in Idaho Falls is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead design, integration, commissioning, and operation of instrumentation and control systems for test platforms in advanced nuclear technology.

You will translate requirements into reliable measurement, control, data-acquisition and safety functions, collaborating across test, process, mechanical, electrical, software, quality, and operations teams with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, nuclear engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience designing, specifying, commissioning, or troubleshooting process and mechanical equipment.
• Experience preparing or reviewing piping and instrumentation diagrams, process-flow diagrams, equipment data sheets, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and vendor drawings.
• Working knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, heat exchangers, tanks, pressure equipment, heaters, or similar process components.

Responsibilities

• Develop I&C system design and architecture for test platforms and facility systems.
• Select and specify instruments for temperature, pressure, flow, level, position, force, strain, vibration, and other measurements.
• Develop, configure, and verify control logic, alarms, interlocks, and data-acquisition functions.
