Job summary

EnSafe is seeking a Mid-Level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support electrical engineering designs across environmental remediation, wastewater treatment, and stormwater projects in Florida. The role emphasizes instrumentation and controls, PLC/HMI programming, and panel design.

The successful candidate will collaborate with teams across multiple offices, assist with design documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance. Relocation assistance is available for Florida offices.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in instrumentation and controls.
• Electrical Engineer PE or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and related design software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and mentor in design basis, plans, specs, reports and procurement.
• Design, program and build control panels, remote telemetry systems and real-time data collection.
• Provide engineering support for construction, operation and optimization evaluations.
• Collaborate with teams across multiple offices, mentoring and problem-solving.
• Prepare preliminary engineering reports evaluating alternatives and criteria.
• Communicate with regulatory personnel and clients for compliance.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates and long-term projections.
