Job summary

Mentor Technical Group Corp is seeking a calibration specialist for our pharma/biotech clients in Puerto Rico. You will perform calibrations in pharmaceutical environments, including bioreactors and aseptic areas, and evaluate process tolerances to support cGMP compliance.

Ideal candidates have strong calibration experience, familiarity with Blue Mountain RAM, Calman or ProCal, and a solid understanding of instrumentation and process controls within regulated facilities.

Qualifications

  • Experience calibrating in pharmaceutical environments; biotechnology preferred.
  • Knowledge of tolerance calculation and calibration systems.
  • Experience calibrating Bioreactors, utilities, formulations, aseptic areas.
  • Familiarity with cGMP and calibration software tools is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations in pharmaceutical industry environments; biotechnology preferred.
  • Assess calibration processes and perform tolerance evaluations.
  • Manage calibration programs across instrumentation and controls.
  • Work with bioreactors, utilities, and aseptic areas to ensure accuracy.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Experience performing calibrations in Pharmaceutical Industry Environment. Biotechnology preferred.
  • Strong Knowledge in tolerance calculation
  • Experience in Calibration system assessment
  • Strong knowledge in process tolerance evaluation.
  • ProcessInstrumentation/ Calibration to manage calibration program.
  • Experience performing calibrations to Bioreactors, Utilities, Formulation, Aseptic Areas.
  • Experience in Blue Mountain (RAM), Calman, or Procal Software is highly preferred.

Qualifications Requirements/Knowledge/Education/Skills:
  • AD, Instrumentation Technology, and or Electronics.
  • Available for the following working hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 9pm to 5:30am
Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipments, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • He / she may frequently work inside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and or humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere, may be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock, and occasionally work on ladders in high places, in small spaces, such as lift/metering stations, manholes, tanks and wet wells. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
