Job summary

Dominion Energy seeks an Instrument Technician I or II to support instrumentation and control systems at its LNG facility. The technician installs, configures, calibrates, tests, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electrical, pneumatic, and microprocessor-based systems, including valves, analyzers, gas-detection and safety systems.

The role involves documentation, training others, and potential leadership for upgrades.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field; 0–2+ years experience for Tech I.
• Tech II requires 3+ years in an industrial environment with related instrumentation.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and controls in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service, troubleshoot, repair, configure, calibrate and install control instruments.
• Maintain flow meters, transmitters, level instruments and control valves.
• Identify causes of defective instrument performance and report findings.
• Use diagnostic tools and calibrators to test instrument readings and systems.
• Support commissioning, startup, shutdown, inspections, and testing.
• Train or assist less‑experienced technicians and operations personnel.
