Job summary

Dominion Energy seeks an Instrument Technician I or II to support LNG instrumentation and control systems at its Emporia, VA facility. The technician will install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and microprocessor-based instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, valves, and detectors.

The role emphasizes accurate records, safety, and collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, with flexible scheduling and potential training duties

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Technology or related field with 0–2+ years of industrial experience for Technician I.
For Technician II, Associate degree with at least 3 years of related experience or high school diploma with at least 5 years in industry.
Proven ability to troubleshoot instrumentation, controls, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
Ability to read P&ID, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

Inspect, calibrate, test, and install instrumentation and control systems in LNG facilities.
Maintain flow meters, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, gas-detection and emergency shutdown systems.
