Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Instrument Technician to install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair instrument devices across industrial sites in the U.S. The role requires reading schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs and performing control loop checks while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include building control panels, instrument installation, tubing, wiring terminations, and ensuring accurate readings from pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Certification/License - NCCER, TDLR, a valid Driver’s License and TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

• Build Control Panels from scratch.
• Instrument installation and mounting.
• Tubing and impulse line installation.
• Junction box terminations.
• Basic conduit installation practices.
• Calibration of instruments and loop checks.
• Troubleshooting instrument and control system failures.
