Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Instrument Technician to install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, overhaul and repair instrument devices in industrial settings. The role requires reading wiring schematics and P&IDs, plus basic PLC knowledge and control loop understanding.

Qualifications

• 4 years journeyman level experience.
• Certifications NCCER, TDLR; valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Build control panels from scratch.
• Instrument installation and mounting.
• Tubing and impulse line installation.
• Junction box terminations.
• Basic conduit installation practices.
• Reading and interpreting P&IDs.
• Loop diagrams; electrical schematics.
• Calibration of pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments.
• Troubleshoot instrument and control systems.
• Control system fault diagnosis and root-cause analysis.
