Job summary

Austin Industrial seeks an Instrument Technician to install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair instrumentation in industrial environments. You will read schematics, perform calibration, and ensure control devices meet specifications.

Applicants must have 4 years of Journeyman experience, NCCER certification, a valid TWIC card, and a valid driver's license; safety and compliance are emphasized in every assignment.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Certification/License - NCCER, a Valid TWIC Card and Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Layout, install, and calibrate instrumentation and control devices.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and loop drawings to prepare job reports.
• Calibrate equipment using standard procedures; interpret and apply calibration data.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using test equipment.
• Understand instrumentation loops and the function of components within each loop.
• Maintain safety, regulatory compliance, and PPE requirements.
