OSF HealthCare in Illinois seeks an instrument technician–Surgery to coordinate instrument needs between the OR, Case Carts and the Sterile Processing Department. You will ensure proper cleaning, sterilizing and inspecting of instrumentation and manage Immediate Use Sterilization and relatedBiologic Indicator testing as needed.
REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication and prioritization skills, plus the ability to read computer printouts and work from a task list.

Expected pay for this position is $18.80 - $22.12/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
POSITION SUMMARY: The instrument technician-Surgery will be responsible for detailed knowledge of the inter-departmental needs between OR, Case Carts, and the Sterile Processing Department. They will coordinate/communicate daily instrument needs with OR mission partners and team leaders. Must be competent in proper cleaning, sterilizing and inspecting of instrumentation. Must be proficient and responsible for all aspects of the Immediate Use Sterilization process, as well and handling Biologic Indicator testing as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Other skills/knowledge: Excellent communication skills Excellent prioritization/organization skills Basic knowledge reading computer printouts and working from task list.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Exerience: Certification in sterile processing at the technician level or higher from an accredited organization 1 year experience in a Sterile Processing Department.
