Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant experience.
• Proficiency running tests on, and understanding the function of, clinical laboratory instruments.
• A fundamental understanding of quality systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair OEM and quality control laboratory instruments of low to medium complexity.
• Perform instrument calibration and standardization in accordance with work instructions.
• Coordinate visits from manufacturer field service representatives for repairs and maintenance.
• Perform incoming inspection and testing on new OEM instruments.
• Assist with new instrument installation, validation, and software upgrades.
• Support instrument technicians with startup, shutdown, and quality control.
• Document instrument tasks accurately and on time in records and data systems.
• Report instrument performance information to QC instrument management.
