Job summary

Conn Selmer in Elkhart, Indiana is seeking aQuality Inspector to inspect, grade, adjust, and play test multiple instruments. The role involves setting up instruments for play-out-of-the-box experiences and reporting improvements to enhance product quality.

You will support other facilities and collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Engineering teams, applying repair knowledge and precise attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Musical Instrument Repair experience (1+ years), BIRT School Certification/Diploma preferred.
• Strong playing experience on one to two instruments required, multiple instruments preferred.
• Some repair knowledge, experience, and techniques on one to two instruments required, multiple instruments preferred.
• Experience or understanding of working with small tools, measuring instruments or parts.
• Proficient in the English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, grade, adjust, and play test one to two different instruments.
• Adjusting and setting up different instruments to meet the “Play out of the Box” customer expectation.
• Reporting on improvements to better the quality of the projects produced.
• Inspect, grade, and adjust all trial and returned products.
• Follow and uphold all processes and procedures to maintain the quality standards for cosmetics and instrument functionality.
• Assisting the South facility in projects as well as reaching operational goals and objectives.
• Assisting the Quality, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Engineering team with technical input.
