Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Instrumentation Technician based in Allen Park, MI. You will calibrate and repair test equipment, document calibrations, and plan schedules to support multiple test programs in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of instrumentation experience, strong tool skills, and the ability to read schematics and perform root-cause analyses. This role requires self-motivation and teamwork in a dynamic facility near Detroit.

Qualifications

• Two years of related instrumentation experience.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Operational knowledge of instrumentation equipment for test systems.
• Experience with computer-based database applications.
• Understanding of vehicle powertrain and electrical systems (HEV/BEV a plus).
• Strong reading of schematics and electronics troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and repair basic electronic test equipment daily.
• Document and database entry of calibrations and builds.
• Plan calibration schedule and coordinate with operations.
• Calibrate transducers, transmitters, shunts, load cells, and meters.
• Maintain equipment readiness to support test programs.
• Troubleshoot for root cause analysis and independent work.
