Oak Ridge National Laboratory is seeking an Instrument Hall Support (IHS) Group Leader to coordinate a rotating shift team supporting neutron instruments at SNS and HFIR. The role requires guiding operational strategy, staff development, and ensuring timely, safe execution of mission-critical tasks.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or a related field with at least 8 years of related experience.
• AS degree will be considered with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience with complex scientific instrumentation in radiological environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cohesive group for instrument operations support and drive strategy for SNS and HFIR.
• Provide guidance and feedback to address performance issues and staff development.
• Coordinate with SNS and ORNL leadership to ensure safe, compliant operations and budget alignment.
