Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and CSP experience required or equivalent.
Certified Registered Central Service Technician through HSPA or CBSPD.
Multiple certifications welcomed: CRCST, CIS, CER, CHL, Lean Six Sigma, CST, others listed.

Responsibilities

Coordinate instrumentation for the following day with the OR schedule.
Order replacement instrumentation and refurbish damaged or missing items.
Determine container size, assess custom carriers, weigh and assemble sets per AAMI standards.
Assist OR team leaders with open instrumentation projects and new trays.
Liaise between Surgical Services and SPD to prioritize needs.
Attend instrument tray optimization/reduction meetings.
Maintain organized instrument storage and inventory records.
Provide alternatives from different manufacturers and obtain quotes for custom instruments.
Create/update count sheets and oversee frontline staff as needed.
Perform QA audits and regular case cart audits.
Order other department supplies as needed.
