Job summary

Built by Me is seeking an instructor to lead hands-on STEM activities for children in after-school sessions in Paramus, NJ. You will foster a curious mindset while facilitating engaging projects that blend robotics, coding, math, design, and art.

Ideal candidates show enthusiasm for STEM education, strong communication skills, and reliable, energetic, and flexible work habits during weekday evenings and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids.
• Weekday 4–7 pm and Saturday 9 am–12 pm availability.
• Interest in robotics, coding, math, design, art.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Built by Me is a STEM enrichment company. We offer a variety of STEM classes and workshops to children in grades 1 - 8. Our goal is to teach kids to use technology to create and explore. All of our programs are interactive, collaborative, hands-on, project-based, and focused on using technology to create and learn new skills while having fun!

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids
• Driver's License and reliable transportation is a plus (will pay for mileage)
• Availability on weekdays 4-7 pm and Saturdays 9 am-12 pm
• Interest in robotics, coding, math, design, communications, video, music, and art
• High emotional intelligence and a creative mind with a great design sensibility, and a driven work ethic
• Are energetic, dependable, friendly, and flexible
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of technology
