Job summary

Built by Me is seeking energetic instructors to join our team and help kids explore robotics, coding, math, design, and art through hands-on STEM activities.

Responsibilities include leading small groups, creating an inclusive environment, and delivering engaging lessons after school and on Saturdays. Availability 4-7 pm weekdays and 9 am-12 pm Saturdays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids is required.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Availability: weekdays 4-7 pm and Saturdays 9 am-12 pm.
• Interest in robotics, coding, math, design, arts and communication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups of children (≤10) in hands-on STEM activities.
• Create an inclusive, safe learning environment and encourage authentic expression.
• Participate in training and contribute to curriculum delivery.

Built by Me is a STEM enrichment company. We offer a variety of STEM classes and workshops to children in grades 1 - 8. Our goal is to teach kids to use technology to create and explore. All of our programs are interactive, collaborative, hands-on, project-based, and focused on using technology to create and learn new skills while having fun!

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids
• Driver’s License and reliable transportation is a plus (will pay for mileage)
• Availability on weekdays 4-7 pm and Saturdays 9 am-12 pm
• Interest in robotics, coding, math, design, communications, video, music, and art
• High emotional intelligence and a creative mind with a great design sensibility, and a driven work ethic
• Are energetic, dependable, friendly, and flexible
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of technology
