Job summary

Built by Me in Livingston, NJ is seeking energetic instructors to lead STEM classes for children in grades 1-8. This part-time role features after-school weekday 4-7 pm and Saturday mornings, a flexible schedule, and a hands-on, project-based curriculum designed to spark curiosity and creativity.

You will guide small groups, foster an inclusive environment, and help kids become creators who enjoy robotics, coding, math, design and art while you gain practical teaching experience and earn

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids.
• Driver’s License is a plus (mileage paid).
• Availability on weekdays 4-7 pm and Saturdays 9 am-12 pm.
• Interest in robotics, coding, math, design, communications, video, music, and art.
• High emotional intelligence and a creative mind with a great design sensibility, and a driven work ethic.
• Energetic, dependable, friendly, and flexible.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of technology.

Responsibilities

• Instruct STEM classes and workshops.
• Create an inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Engage small groups of children (no more than 10) during sessions.

Built by Me is a STEM enrichment company. We offer a variety of STEM classes and workshops to children in grades 1 - 8. Our goal is to teach kids to use technology to create and explore. All of our programs are interactive, collaborative, hands-on, project-based, and focused on using technology to create and learn new skills while having fun!
