Job summary

The Kathryn Wasserman Davis School of Russian announces an opening for a temporary Instructor of Russian. The position is available during the summer 2019 session, located on the Middlebury College campus in Vermont. Our program combines cultural immersion with rigorous daily instruction in Russian.

Instructors will provide four hours of classroom instruction and one formal office hour per day. Participation in pre- and post-session assessment testing and cultural programming is required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MA in a related field and significant Russian language teaching experience at various levels.
• Ability to live and work in an intensive environment surrounded by students and colleagues.
• Summer 2019 position; on-campus; lodging and meal plan provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide four hours of daily classroom instruction.
• Offer one formal office hour per day.
• Participate in pre- and post-session assessments and cultural programming.

This is an opportunity to join a community of learners, by activelyengaging in teaching, dining, residing and recreating with studentswhile reading, writing and speaking exclusively in Russian. Ourinstructors provide four hours of classroom instruction and oneformal office hour per day. In addition, participation in pre- andpost-session assessment testing and cultural programming isrequired.

This position is for summer 2019 only.

In addition to the salary, lodging and a complete meal plan will beprovided.
