Our unique 7-week program combines a cultural immersion environmentwith rigorous daily classroom instruction. This is an opportunityto join a vibrant community of learners and entails activelyengaging in teaching, dining, residing and even recreation withstudents while reading, writing and speaking exclusively inFrench.
In addition to salary, lodging and a complete meal plan areprovided. Travel costs to and from Middlebury are notincluded.
We seek a faculty member who can contribute to our program byoffering French as a Second Language classes for the undergraduatecurriculum. The successful candidate possesses, at a minimum, aMasters degree or its equivalent and substantial experience inteaching French as a Second Language in higher education,preferably both in a Francophone setting and in North America. Weseek an instructor with demonstrated teaching excellence in Frenchas a foreign language, native or near-native fluency in French,strong interpersonal and collaborative competencies anddemonstrated success as a member of an instructional team. Allinstructors lead co-curricular activities that are an integral partof the language curriculum. A candidate with a creative, dynamic,and engaging approach will be an excellent fit for theprogram.
