The Middlebury College Summer School of Spanish invites applications for a temporary Instructor of Spanish for the 2022 session on the Middlebury College campus in Vermont. The program blends cultural immersion with intensive daily instruction conducted entirely in Spanish.

Description

The Middlebury College Summer School of Spanish is pleased toannounce one or more vacancies for a temporary Instructor ofSpanish. The position is available during the summer 2022 session,located on Middlebury College campus in Vermont. Our unique 7-weekprogram combines a cultural immersion environment with rigorousdaily classroom instruction. This is an opportunity to join acommunity of learners, by actively engaging in teaching, dining,residing and recreating with students while reading, writing andspeaking exclusively in Spanish.

We are looking for a faculty member with the followingcharacteristics: Experience teaching Spanish as a second languagein the U.S. and experience teaching Spanish grammar, writing,culture, in levels 1 to 4.

In addition to the salary, lodging and a complete meal plan will beprovided. This position is for summer 2022 (June 29-August12).

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess a PHD (ABD with strongcredentials may also be considered), strong interpersonal skills,and demonstrated success working as a member of an instructionalteam. A candidate with a creative, dynamic, and easy-going approachwill be an excellent fit with the School of Spanish.
