Job summary

Middlebury College Summer French School seeks temporary instructors of French for the 2019 session on the Middlebury College campus in Vermont. The seven-week program blends cultural immersion with rigorous daily classroom instruction.

We welcome candidates with an MA or equivalent and substantial experience teaching French as a Second Language in higher education, ideally in both Francophone settings and North America; lodging and a meal plan are provided, along with salary.

Description

The Middlebury College Summer French School is pleased to announce vacancies for temporary instructors of French language. The positions are available during the summer 2019 session and located on Middlebury College campus in Vermont. Our unique 7-week program combines a cultural immersion environment with rigorous daily classroom instruction.

We are looking for faculty members who are able to contribute to our program by offering engaging French as a Second Language classes at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum.

In addition to the salary, lodging and a meal plan will be provided.

Qualifications

The successful candidate possesses at least an MA degree or equivalent and substantial experience in teaching French as a Second Language in higher education, preferably both in a Francophone setting and in North America. The successful candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal and collaborative competences and is sensitive to matters that relate to diversity and inclusion.
