Overview
The instructor’s primary responsibilities are to provide active and effective learning for students in all applicable educational settings, act as professional and academic role models, and commit to student satisfaction. This includes teaching in classrooms, labs, and outside the classroom during campus and student activities. The position involves delivering high-quality instruction, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience, developing and implementing curriculum, assessing student progress, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Organize and deliver class objectives clearly and concisely.
- Foster and maintain a safe, controlled environment for students in classrooms and labs.
- Maintain and prepare training aids, tools, and equipment.
- Keep curriculum current with industry standards and practices.
- Evaluate student performance via assignments, exams, and practical assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to help students succeed academically and professionally.
- Identify at-risk students and create individualized success plans.
- Build relationships with students to meet program requirements.
- Provide periodic and ad-hoc reports to stakeholders.
- Meet with students and staff to discuss instructional programs.
- Maintain regular interaction with online course students.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress.
- Deliver engaging lectures and lab sessions on relevant topics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED (required).
- Relevant education and experience as outlined in the program-specific qualification matrix.
- Direct and specialized knowledge in the area of instruction.
- Expertise in the assigned subject area, with ability to design and deliver engaging content.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
- Build rapport with students, partners, and colleagues.
- Stay current with industry advancements.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Excellent communication skills.

Physical and Work Environment
- Majority of work involves hearing and sight (80%).
- Occasional use of fine motor skills (up to 50%).
- Rarely, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
- Must be able to communicate, think, learn, reason, and use computers effectively.
- Work is performed indoors; on-site work may involve exposure to various learning environments.
- This position may be remote, hybrid, or on-site, meeting technical standards and safety procedures.
