Summary
Responsible for instructing and facilitating student mastery of the course competencies and curriculum. Supports all facets of the learning environment as demonstrated by institutionally prescribed curriculum and learning assessments. Through preparation and learner-centered instruction, delivers career education that will support graduates in meeting the evolving needs of the employment market. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction
- Develops class work and delivers instruction in accordance with curricula, syllabi, outline, course text, department of education licensing regulations, accreditation standards, industry guidelines and the needs of employers.
- Adequately prepares for class; reviews and delivers all course materials and lesson plans for all courses.
- Delivers learner-centered instruction.
- Provides acknowledgment and corrective feedback in a non-judgmental way to guide students toward improving performance and achieving better results.
- Relates industry experience to learning.
- Records and maintains accurate daily student attendance and enters grades into the student information system within three days of the assignment due date or examination.
- Completes grade reports and final grade sheets, learning assessments, final examination assessments by established deadline(s).
- Administers and completes competency testing by established deadline(s).
- Maintains familiarity with the school catalog, the MBC Employee Handbook and all the procedures, expectations, and policies stated therein.
- Responds to student questions in a timely manner.
- Ensures classroom, lab, and production areas are neat and orderly.
- Effectively makes use of clinical simulation software, digital health records, specialized diagnostic equipment, or any other relevant technological tools used in the allied health field.
- Incorporates discipline-specific technologies into the curriculum to facilitate hands-on learning and enhance educational outcomes, e.g., the Anatomage Table.
- Maintains a professional instructor-student relationship, including establishing and maintaining positive student interactions, restricting classroom time to relevant, subject-related information, ensuring nondiscriminatory, fair and equal treatment of all students, being prepared for each class, beginning each class on time, responding to student questions calmly and clearly, and providing a non-threatening learning environment.
- Works cooperatively with program director, affiliate personnel, and other program staff to deliver and enhance training effectiveness.
- Attends and participates in planning meetings with department staff, directors, and school employees.
- Maintains credentials as required by accrediting councils/agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Participates in new faculty onboarding, ongoing in-service faculty development, and discipline-specific professional development.
- Mentors new faculty as needed.
Classroom Management
- Maintains an environment that encourages and supports learning.
- Practices proactive management strategies that recognize and acknowledge desirable conduct.
- Employs strategies to keep students organized, attentive, on-task, and academically productive.
- Uses active supervision to prevent disruptive behavior and responds appropriately when it occurs.
Student Success And Satisfaction
- Assists students in achieving educational and career goals.
- Helps resolve student problems.
- Identifies at-risk students and refers them to advisors, counselors, or program directors for support.
- Engages in retention activities, including mentoring and communication.
- Tutors students as needed.
- Supports program evaluation, review, and revision processes.
- Achieves a minimum 60% rating on quarterly student surveys across categories.
Laboratory And Field Work Responsibilities
- Stays updated on industry technological advancements and incorporates new material into curriculum.
- Provides a safe environment, ensuring proper use of chemicals, materials, and equipment.
- Develops and enforces effective lab safety practices.
- Maintains safety records and equipment.
- Prevents unauthorized experiments, documents incidents, maintains inventory, and ensures proper storage of chemicals and materials.
- Evaluates student progress and provides timely feedback.
- Transports students for offsite activities as needed.
- Exhibits understanding of company values.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
Education and Experience
Minimum three years of relevant industry experience; MS Office skills; valid PA driver’s license; bachelor’s degree preferred; industry-specific certifications may be required. Experience in training or classroom instruction is preferred.
