Job summary

Home, Hope and Healing Inc. & Aspire Behavioral Health and Counseling is seeking an Instructor I to support individuals with developmental disabilities. The role includes assisting with daily living activities and maintaining a safe environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a year of relevant experience.

This position is non-exempt, with a work schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Applicants should have strong communication and conflict resolution skills, among other qualifications.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience providing direct care to individuals with special needs.
• Ability to observe and monitor individuals’ behaviors.
• Knowledge of individualized plans and ability to develop them.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Document daily activities and progress.

Skills

Basic reading, writing, and math skills

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Communication skills – oral and written

Conflict resolution skills

Knowledge of agency confidentiality policies

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent
