Job summary

Cuyahoga Community College is seeking an Instructor for Community Recreation (East): Module 2 - Spin/Cycling to lead high-energy indoor cycling classes in-person and via virtual formats. The role involves designing dynamic workouts for multiple fitness levels, with music, pacing, and performance tracking, and requires current certifications in NETA, AFAA, or ACE.

The position is part-time faculty, non-union, with a set rate of pay and needs on-site availability at the Eastern Campus; CPR/First

Qualifications

  • Certifications/licenses, as applicable by discipline.
  • Required CPR/First aid certifications.
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience.

Work Schedule: As needed, shifts will depend on college needs and instructor availability. Morning, days, evening and weekend shifts available and needed.

Job Description
SUMMARY
Module 2: Spin/Cycling

Leads high-energy indoor cycling classes in both in-personand virtual formats, promoting cardiovascular health, endurance, andmotivation. Designs dynamic workouts tailored to various fitness levels,incorporating music, pacing, and performance tracking.

Must hold current certifications in one of the following:
  • NETA
  • AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America)
  • ACE (American Council on Exercise)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Providesinstruction to students and community members.
  • Develops and presents the department with a curriculum that provides students with a full experience and is structured to accommodate all fitness levels.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • Possess basic knowledge of fundamental subject area concepts, practices, and procedures with the ability to apply in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus.

  • Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of the class Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Possess sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of the community.

Special Note:Set-RateNon-Bargaining Part-Time Position: This is aPart-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $30.30/hour.

If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure .
