Cuyahoga Community College is seeking an Instructor for Community Recreation (Metro): Module 3 - Group Exercising. The role involves leading HIIT, circuit training, boot camp, step aerobics, line dance aerobics and Pilates-inspired classes to diverse participants, both in person and virtually.

Responsibilities include curriculum development, safe instruction, and adapting activities to different fitness levels. Must hold current CPR/First Aid and have at least two years of relevant experience.

Job Description:

SUMMARY

Leads dynamic group fitness classes with a focus on HIIT, Circuit Training, Boot Camp, Step Aerobics, Line Dance Aerobics, and Pilatespromoting cardiovascular health, coordination, and community connection.Designs high-energy workouts tailored to a range of fitness levels, deliveredboth in-person and virtually. Prioritizes safe and effective instruction byemphasizing proper technique, appropriate pacing, and ongoing participantmotivation.

Must hold current certifications in one of the following:

Pilates

  • Balanced Body, NPCP STOTT, or BASI (Body Arts and Science International)

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS

  • Providesinstruction to students and community members.
  • Develops and presents the department with a curriculum that provides students with a full experience and is structured to accommodate all fitness levels.
  • Sets up in preparation for and cleans up after each class.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

  • Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of the class Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Special Note:Set-RateNon-Bargaining Part-Time Position: This is aPart-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $30.30/hour.

If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure .
