Cuyahoga Community College's Western Campus seeks an Instructor for Community Recreation Module 2 - Spin/Cycling to lead high-energy indoor cycling classes in-person and online. You will design workouts for all fitness levels, using music, pacing, and performance tracking to motivate participants.

Requires a High School Diploma, CPR/First Aid, and at least two years of experience, plus current certifications such as Schwinn/Spinning, ISSA Indoor Cycling, NETA, AFAA, or ACE.

Work Schedule: Hours depend on program needs; days, evenings, and weekends. Flexibility required.

Summary
Module 2: Spin/Cycling

Leads high-energy indoor cycling classes in both in-person and virtual formats, promoting cardiovascular health, endurance, and motivation. Designs dynamic workouts tailored to various fitness levels, incorporating music, pacing, and performance tracking.

Must hold current certifications in one of the following
  • Schwinn, Spinning®
  • ISSA indoor Cycling
  • NETA
  • AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America)
  • ACE (American Council on Exercise)
Essential Functions
  • Provides instruction to students and community members.
  • Develops and presents the department with a curriculum that provides students with a full experience and is structured to accommodate all fitness levels.
  • Sets up in preparation for and cleans up after each class.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Certifications/licenses, as applicable by discipline
  • Required CPR/first aid certifications.
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience

  • Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of the class Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Special Note: Set-Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position: This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $30.30/ hour.
Residency Requirement

If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure .
