Job summary

APV invites applications for instructors to deliver professional military education to officers of the US Air Force and other services. Most teaching will be online, with initial faculty development and other requirements identified by the Air Force Global College (AFGC).

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree or higher in military disciplines, possess deep air power knowledge, and have completed IDE and JPME Phases I/II.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in military science, military history, or related discipline.
• Proof of IDE and/or Senior Developmental Education; resident completion preferred but not required.
• JPME Phase I and/or Phase II.

Responsibilities

• Provide online professional military education instruction to officers in the US Air Force and other services.
• Complete initial faculty development instruction and other requirements identified by AFGC.
• Deliver instruction online, supporting the Air Force Global College's mission.

POSITIONSUMMARY

Instructors will provide professional military education instruction to officers in the US Air Force and other servicesinthe application of airpowerinjoint and/or combined military operations.Inalmost allcases,instructionwill be delivered online.Upon hiring, instructors willbe requiredto complete initial faculty development instruction and other requirements to beidentifiedby the Air Force Global College (AFGC). The AFGC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and provides competentcontractorand government faculty qualified toaccomplishthe organization’s goals and mission.

PROFESSIONAL (OPERATIONAL) QUALIFICATIONS

• Proof of deep knowledge ofair power includingAir, Space, and Cyber Superiority; Global Strike; Rapid Global Mobility; Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance; and Command and Controlof Air operations
• Completion of Intermediate Developmental Education (IDE) and/or Senior Developmental Education. Resident completionpreferred butnotrequired.
• JPME Phase I and/or Phase II

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’sdegree or higherinmilitary science, military history, or any otherdiscipline relevant to military operations.
• Successful completion ofinitialfaculty development and any otheradditionalrequirementsidentifiedby AFGC

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Assignments inany of the followingareasespecially duringa deployment:
• Joint and/orCombined Air Operations Center
• Wing Weapons/Tactics
• Flight Commanderor higher in fighter, bomber, space, cyber, air battle manager, or airbornecommand and control
• Air expeditionary unit/task force leadership
• Service onany of the followingstaffs: Air Force Forces (AFFOR)or Air Force Component Commander in the Directorate of Mobility Forces, Space Forces, or Cyber Forces
• Prioronline teaching experience (military or civilian)is a strong plus.
