Job summary

APV is seeking an Instructor for Strategy & Security Studies to deliver professional military education to officers in the US Air Force and other services. Most instruction will be online, with initial faculty development required after hire by the Air Force Global College.

The role supports national security education and policy development. Qualified candidates typically hold a Master’s or terminal degree in relevant fields and have IDE/JPME credentials.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Terminal degree in Political Science, Public Policy, US Government, Public Administration, Military History, National Security, Global Security, or a closely related field.
• Completion of Intermediate Developmental Education (IDE) and/or Senior Developmental Education. Resident completion preferred, but not required.
• JPME Phase I and/or Phase II.

Responsibilities

• Instructors will provide professional military education instruction to officers in the US Air Force and other services in development and implementation of national military strategy and national security.
• Instruction will be delivered online in almost all cases.
• Instructors will be required to complete initial faculty development instruction and other requirements to be identified by the Air Force Global College (AFGC).
