Job summary

GEO Secured Services in Milton, FL is seeking an Academic Instructor to deliver adult basic education, English language development, and core subjects to a diverse student population in a correctional education setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate from the state Department of Education or comparable authority required.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a classroom environment to provide adult basic education, English language development, and basic subjects including reading, mathematics, and language arts.
• Instruct conversational English and local ideas to students with limited English proficiency.
• Maintain records including testing, daily inmate/detainee work, and attendance; evaluate progress.
