Job summary

Berklee College of Music is hiring an Instructional Technology Assistant to support instructors with music technology and learning tools within Canvas. The role includes creating learning resources and helping build course sites according to instructional design best practices.

You will work 15–20 hours per week in a hybrid setting, with on-campus project time and remote tasks. Training is provided across software, platforms, and Generative AI to enhance instructional design skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service mindset with a focus on helping others succeed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical troubleshooting.
• Enthusiasm to learn software, music tech, web development, or generative AI applications.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment balancing remote tasks with on-campus collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt technical support and training to instructors via email and Zoom consultations.
• Contribute to design of instructional assets: short videos, interactive web content, graphics, guides.
• Assist with course building in Canvas, organizing modules and testing student features.
• Participate in team check-ins, workshops, and mentorship sessions to grow instructional design and edtech skills.
