Job summary

State Center Community College District's Fresno City College campus seeks a Temporary Instructional Assistant to support faculty and students in the campus lab/department. Responsibilities include preparing materials, proctoring tests, scoring, and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

Graduation from high school or GED and at least one year of responsible experience providing instructional or tutorial assistance to students.
Knowledge of office practices and recordkeeping.
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Assist faculty in preparing materials and classroom media; set up equipment and distance learning tools.
Schedule and coordinate testing appointments for students; arrange accommodations as required.
Proctor tests, score papers, and record results for instructors.
Provide guidance to students and support instructors in day-to-day operations.
Maintain a respectful and equitable environment for historically minoritized groups.
