FVCC's Math & Science Tutoring Center seeks an Instructional Specialist to provide individualized math and science instruction to students in a college setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with faculty, development of tutoring methods, and promotion of excellent customer service within a team environment. Requires a bachelor’s degree in math or related field and at least one year of tutoring experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in math, math education, or related field.
• At least one year of individualized instruction or tutoring.
• Experience with college-level math instruction is preferred.
• Familiarity with community college environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in math and science through individualized instruction in the Math & Science Tutoring Center.
• Collaborates with math and science faculty on topics and student needs for math and science instruction.
• Promotes a culture of customer service within a team-oriented environment and addresses issues proactively.
• Stays current with best practices for student success and participates in professional development.
