Job summary

The Community College of Rhode Island seeks a tutor to provide one-on-one and small group tutoring online and in-person to students needing subject support. You will review study strategies, participate in department meetings, and refer students to campus services when needed.

You will document tutoring outcomes using Civitas and shared documents, and work with Blackboard, Zoom, MS Teams, and Webex. You may supervise the Center in the campus coordinator's or director's absence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, or related field.
• Submission of official college transcript(s).
• A minimum of three years of tutoring experience in higher education, a community organization, or a high school.
• Demonstrated advocacy and commitment to student success and an understanding of community college and developmental education students’ challenges.

• Demonstrated advocacy and commitment to student success and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by community college and developmental education students.
