Job summary

Penn College is seeking an on-site Mathematics Instructional Specialist to schedule and provide supplemental instruction and tutoring in math. The role includes workshops on math success, data reporting, and collaboration with Tutoring Center staff.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Education with a math emphasis; a Master's is preferred. Two years tutoring or teaching experience is required, with strong communication skills and learning theory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct supplemental instruction for college-level math courses.
• Recruit participants via classroom presentations and posters.
• Attend course meetings, take notes, read materials as needed.
• Review course requirements with students and assist with materials.
• Provide small group tutoring for developmental math courses.
• Provide individual tutoring via appointment system or walk-ins.
• Maintain tutoring reports and attendance data.
• Assist with program data collection and reporting.
