Lycoming College, one of the nation’s oldest residential liberal arts and sciences colleges, invites candidates for its Instructional Services Librarian & Assistant Professor role (to begin Summer 2025). With a first-rate undergraduate education and an increased commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable campus community that supports all faculty, staff, and students, we are seeking candidates with diverse backgrounds who can support and contribute to our mission and 2021 strategic plan.
The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative, imaginative, and community-focused campus. As part of our vibrant information literacy program, the incumbent will partner closely with faculty and students to design and teach innovative information literacy sessions in disciplines such as Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Political Science. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to and expand on the library’s ongoing creative projects and efforts to provide welcoming, user-centered experiences, especially in the library’s digital spaces. This is a non-tenure track faculty position with responsibilities to participate in campus governance, committee service, and academic advising.
