New Paradigm for Education seeks educators who believe that all students can achieve at high levels and deserve a quality education. The Instructional Science Coach will support teachers and staff in implementing high-quality curricula and driving student achievement growth.

Based in Detroit, the coach works under the Executive Director of Academics to develop teachers, deliver targeted PD, and close learning gaps through data-informed coaching and collaborative practice.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in education and Michigan teaching certificate.
• 5+ years of teaching experience, preferably in secondary.
• Experience using data to ground conversations about instructional practice.

Mansioni

• Provide teachers and other staff with instructional leadership to develop proficiency in core curriculum.
• Coach teachers on lesson planning, classroom management, instructional practices, and data-driven instruction in real time.
• Design and host targeted professional development opportunities for teachers.
• Conduct curricular pedagogy meetings with goals and participation from all teachers.
• Support classroom instruction through co-teaching, modeling, and real-time coaching as needed.
• Participate in professional development and site visits to apply learnings at the school site.
