New Paradigm For Education in Detroit is seeking an Instructional Science Coach for grades 6-12 to support teachers with high-quality curriculum and data-driven instruction. The role blends coaching, adult learning, and mathematics/science focus to raise student achievement.

You will work under the Executive Director of Academics, designing targeted PD, analyzing assessment data, and helping teachers tailor instruction for multilingual learners and diverse student needs.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field is required or preferred.
• Michigan Teaching Certificate in assigned content area (coaching).
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in secondary education.
• Experience supporting or teaching secondary students is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide instructional leadership to develop proficiency in core curriculum.
• Coach teachers on lesson planning, classroom management, and using data to guide instruction.
• Design and host targeted professional development for staff.
• Conduct curricular pedagogy meetings with full teacher participation.
• Support classroom instruction through co-teaching and real-time coaching.
• Participate in site visits and share learnings for school improvement.
• Review data and coordinate assessments and curricular resources.
• Create staff development plans based on student data and observations.
