Job summary

The Pocatello/Chubbuck School District No. 25 at Century High School is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional to provide instructional support to students and assist with individual or small group work to improve learning outcomes.

The role operates under the supervision of a classroom teacher and the building principal. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and either 32 college credits or passing the Praxis Paraprofessional assessment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a minimum of 32 academic core college semester credits that will lead to a Bachelor’s Degree OR must pass the ETS Paraprofessional Praxis Assessment.

POSITION TITLE: INSTRUCTIONAL PARAPROFESSIONAL

LOCATION: Century High School

POSTING DATE: October 28, 2026

CLOSING DATE: For best consideration please apply by November 4, 2026. However, position will be open until filled.

ADDITIONAL INFO: 7 hours per day for full time

SALARY SCHEDULE: Rate of pay will be $14.15 per hour

START DATE: As soon as possible.

JOB SUMMARY: The principle function of this position is to provide instructional assistance to students. The position works with individual and/or small groups of students to increase learning skills and levels; ability to work with students experiencing academic or behavior difficulties. The work is performed under the supervision of a classroom teacher and the building Principal. The principle duties of this position are performed in classroom environment.

BENEFITS INFO: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees Retirement are available to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract. There are no benefits for part time (3.5 hour) Instructional Paraprofessionals.
