Job summary

Educational Empowerment Group is seeking an experienced administrator to lead instructional programs and staff within the Academy in Columbus, OH.

You will supervise curriculum delivery, coordinate professional development, and ensure compliance with laws and board policies while reporting to the Board and Management Company. Strong communication and leadership are essential to maintain high standards for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or other related discipline is required.
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience preferred in an urban education setting.
• Minimum of three years demonstrated successful leadership in an administrative position.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to exhibit strong interpersonal skills with students, parents and community.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and direction to staff.
• Supervise and observe all instructional programs and practices in the Academy, including coaching and mentoring directly or through other staff and/or professional development programs.
• Hire, evaluate, terminate staff as needed.
• Serve as liaison to the Board of Directors, including providing formal and informal reports to the Board and Management Company.
• Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and behavior.
• Manage procedures for operation and functioning of the Academy in alignment with mission and goals.
• Ensure compliance with laws, board policies and civil regulations.
• Establish the annual master schedule for instructional programs.
• Evaluate lesson plans and observe classes to encourage 21st Century instructional strategies.
• Supervise discipline and attendance systems with high standards and fairness.
• Create a safe, orderly environment that promotes responsible student behavior and high staff morale.
• Maintain records and complete required reports to the Board and Management Company.
• Develop professional rapport with students and staff.
