Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an Instructional Developer to support U.S. Navy training at SCSTC ATRC in Dahlgren, VA.

The role involves designing instructional approaches and interactive courseware aligned with Navy standards, and collaborating with SMEs to validate job tasks and learning objectives. The candidate will contribute to lifecycle analyses and ensure technical accuracy of content, with a focus on developing materials for surface combat systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of related experience in instructional development.
• 3 years of experience developing group-paced instructional materials for Surface Combat Systems and 2 of 3 years in Navy curriculum development software AIM I, AIM II, CPM/LOM.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops instructional approaches and interactive courseware to meet training requirements.
• Facilitates SME workshops to identify and validate job duties and tasks for learning objectives and curricula.
• Develops Training Situation Analysis and Front-End Analysis to identify training gaps and deficiencies.
