Job summary

General Dynamics IT in Dahlgren, VA is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver complex technical and tactical training to sailors enrolled in courses at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center. You will develop and conduct training programs and support curriculum development for ATRC courses aligning with Navy combat system operations.

The role requires traditional classroom instruction and dynamic lab support, with assessments and feedback to improve performance.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience teaching in a master level training environment.
• Experience in surface, subsurface, integrated air and missile defense, Strike, or C4I is preferred.
• At least two years as an instructor in a Navy training environment with curriculum maintenance and learning objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develops and conducts training and educational programs for Fleet sailors at Aegis Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, VA.
• Provide classroom instruction and support for tactical lab training and curriculum development.
• Assess sailors’ performance and provide formal feedback and improvement recommendations.
• Prepare and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides; support course reviews and updates.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.
